Click here to meet Miss Hepworth!

Hello! I’m Miss Hepworth and I’ve been at Crossley Hall for 4 years now. I have always taught in years 5 and 6 but, this year, it is time for a change! I like to think I’m a bit of a human calculator and find maths really fun with lots of challenges and problem solving. I am also currently the writing lead across school and I really love reading and writing stories – I can’t wait to see what the you are capable of (I have seen your books and it is looking like a very promising year). I’m quite sporty and love a competition – who do you think will be the fastest in our class? One of my many mottos is, “Asking ‘why’ is fun!” I’m excited for all the questions you throw my way next year.

I’m feeling positive about having a great year together; I really look forward to getting to know you all! See you in September!

Kangaroos

Click here to meet Mrs Dunn!

Hello!

My name is Mrs Dunn and I am going to be teaching the Year 2 Kangaroos in September. I have been a Primary School Teacher for 20 years, working mainly in KS1 and Early Years. This will be my 4th year at Crossley Hall Primary School and I am excited to be spending it with you!

I am looking forward to all the fantastic experiences we will share, the fun we will have, the interesting topics we will explore together and of course all of the amazing learning that will take place.

When I am not at school I am at home with my husband and my 4 year old and 7 month old girls. We love walking, so are often out on adventures exploring new places. We also enjoy reading stories and watching Peter Rabbit.

I have a summer challenge for you all which I know you will love… I would like you to design and make a poster or a fact file about kangaroos. You can include drawings, paintings and photos. You can write labels and facts that you have researched. Maybe you could answer these questions; What do kangaroos look like? Where do they live? What do they eat? You could even make a model of a kangaroo using lego, salt dough, junk or maybe even make a collage using paper and different materials. The more imaginative the better!

I can’t wait to see all of your marvellous creations which we will share, talk about and put on display in our new classroom.
